Part of a collection of letters from and to William Pitt the Elder and William Pitt the Younger. Letters are described in individual records; see MA 894-895 for more detail.
The year of writing is not given, however it is dated "Thursday evening"; in 1799, March 28th fell on a Thursday and in that year and on the following day a meeting was held on a Land Sale Tax with the commissioners named in this letter and Pitt.
