Writing that he has been "very busy, as [his] custom is, doing nothing at all, or next to it"; noting that he has "been glad to escape hither to the delicious banks of Windermere"; adding that he doesn't know whether he will go to Paris, London, or Edinburgh next, but he hopes he will have the pleasure of seeing her in Edinburgh.
