Summary
Saying he has sent a new account of the death of Cap't Cook; referring to work on the air in fish bladders saying "...it is very likely that the air, however pure it may be when the fish first inhales it soon becomes phlogisticated from its contact with the intestine which contains it but this shall be tried;" referring to the work of L'Heritier and his request for specimens and asking "...what will he send me if I send them to him[?] among ourselves we call such communications drawing blood & expect to draw blood in return;" discussing Daubenton's work on merino sheep, the fine wool he is getting from them and the high price he is asking for it.
