Summary
Concerning his name on the Free List for the Drury Lane Theatre; apologizing for any inconvenience he had on his last visit to the theatre and saying "You are entitled to the freedom in your own right and I hope in future you will visit the Theatre as Mr. Sheridan's Friend - independent of every other consideration - pray particularly explain to me the expectation of the Gentlemen concerned in the new Publication respecting the freedom of the Theatre which you have not made very clear...;" asking that he call on him at the theatre to explain in person; questioning Woodfall's daughter's upcoming performance in the 'Count of Narbonne' and asking if she has his consent; "saying "She speaks sensibly [,] possesses plaintive tones, but at present I fear her powers are not equal to our [illegible] grown House;" adding, in a postscript, "...that the Woodfalls are all included in the free List and it has never been altered."
