Summary
Explaining that he kept his church open "when the colonies ... declared themselves independent" but omitted the prayers for the King and royal family; reporting how many children he baptized and couples he married since his last letter of March 25, 1776; giving details of an excursion to "the province of New Hampshire" to preach and baptize children there; asking him to write back by the bearer of this letter, Capt. Cordis.
