Summary
Enclosing a letter of introduction to a Mr. Wood of Manchester who, he promises, will do "all he can to render your sojourn in that great Town agreeable to you as well as give you personal introductions to every one you would like to know"; refusing to share information about his design for the new Houses of Parliament: "I have at the present moment particular and cogent reasons for not wishing to give the details of the Design any further publicity"; thanking his correspondent for "your offer relative to the Cathedral [antiquities] all of which I am fortunate enough to have already in my possession."
