Summary
Apologizing for not writing sooner. She was delighted to see "ces messieurs" [Claude-Emmanuel and Amédeé de Pastoret] again and has been a bit ill since they left, which will explain her delay in responding. Her father-in-law received news from the Marquis de Pastoret Claude-Emmanuel from Geneva. By now he must be back home [in Paris]. She and her family would have been delighted if she and Alphonsine and Marie could have come as well. She says that César has no greater friend in the world than she. She thanks her for her many kindnesses and motherly care she gave her.
