Summary
Expressing his regret "...that Peoples misrepresentations have occasioned any Dispute between Lord Bateman and me; appearing to be a dispute over tythes due him according to an agreement; saying "The Disputes among ourselves are very disagreeable and occasions great Triumph to our Enemies, which I am sorry for. I dare Say if I had had an opportunity of speaking to Lord Bateman this affair would have been settled without any Difficulty. I am very desirous of living upon good Terms with Lord Bateman and I shall hope we shall."
