Temple (London: Richard Bentley, 1857) that had been enlarged to three folio volumes with the addition of autograph letters and 258 portraits "as collected by E. Hornby." It was originally in Volume II. Other letters from the volumes are now catalogued as MA 981.1-109.
Summary
Discussing a financial matter; explaining that, since he has been indisposed and unable to write without difficulty, Sir Annesley Stewart has "kindly taken upon him to answer your Letter, the contents of which I confess not a little surpris'd me, especially considering that the Interest upon the Sum in question has already, not long since, been raised, and that the Payment of it has been perfectly, and indeed remarkably, punctual"; continuing "I trust however that upon Consideration, and upon weighing the Reasons contain'd in Sr. Annesley's Letter, Mr. Burgoyne will be of opinion that, for the present at least, Matters should be left as they are --".
