I allude to the 'Globe', where I am told you can do me a good natured turn - if you can, 'ecce signum' - and may I add the sooner the better - for after tomorrow, reform will shut out every body & every thing;" adding, in a postscript, "The stars are against me - what these? - common mortals - such as authors, stock actors & managers are heartily with me - one of the latter has literally sent 5£ 5s for a single volume."
