Asking is he would "speak to one of your servants who is brother to a man of the name of Brierly of the Queens Reg't" who deserted but who has served very well in the Regiment for nineteen years; telling him that if the soldier can he convinced to return "he will be fully pardoned & no further notice taken of it."
