Saying that he was about to leave to attend Richelieu's lever the following day when Monsieur [Gabriel de] Beauvau arrived and informed him that Richelieu might like to know sooner that their friend [the doyen de Cambrai, François de Carondelet] was coming under the title of Ambassador of the Infanta [Isabelle Claire Eugénie de Habsburg] to inform the king of the homage she had paid to his mother, the queen [Marie de' Medici]. Saying he saw her signed instructions, and that the negotiations will give the ambassador the opportunity to speak with Richelieu as long as he desires. Saying he will see Richelieu the next day at dinner and will let him know more. Adding that he believes Richelieu will be very happy with everything.
