Notes
While the document is signed by Elliston, Lawler and "H Grace," it does not appear to be in Elliston's hand. The handwriting resembles that of an 1809 letter to Thomas Sheridan (MA 9556), also in the Morgan's collection, but not that of other verified examples of Elliston's handwriting. MA 9554 and 9556 may both be copies. The signature to this document does appear to be Elliston's.
