Summary
Writing that, as the "melancholy death" of Lady Maynard Leveson-Gower has made it impossible for Lord Granville to attend to business at present, he will communicate with Lyndhurst in the interim; giving his address in the country; saying that he will take no steps without hearing from Lyndhurst, "and I can only repeat that tho' I should be sorry that all these endeavours to make a 'rapprochement' should fail; I individually should only be too happy to be released from taking a prominent part to which both my strength & my abilities are I fear [no?] equal."
