Notes:
Previously described as a letter from Elizabeth of France, consort of Philip IV (1602-1644) to her mother Marie de Médicis. Attribution corrected in May 2021 based on information received from scholar Carmela V. Mattza (LSU), who also provided approximate dating of the letter.
The letter was probably written in or after 1561, when her ladies Madame Margaret de Clermont and Madame de Vineux were in Paris.
