Macklin gives the place of writing as James Street, Covent Garden.
At the end of the letter, there is a note, apparently in the same hand, which reads: "Delivered a true copy of this Letter at the house of George Colman Esqr. in the Piazza Covent Garden / Mar: 12th 1774 / James Shone."
Removed from an extra-illustrated volume from the series Dramatic Memoirs (PML 9505-9528).
