Summary
Informing him that his son had been challenged to a duel following an altercation with another student; adding that the duel has been postponed to after the end of the term but he is hopeful that it can be averted altogether; saying that he [Judge Todd] might wish to take some precautionary measures in order to "avert the Calamity which might otherwise ensue."
