Asking for consideration on behalf of his widowed mother and her six children; detailing the heroic military accomplishments of his late father, Captain John Macdonell at the heights of Abraham and at the mutiny in Quebec and his usefulness in both instances to General Murray; adding that he knows of allowances to officers much less accomplished than his father and hopes that his application will be reconsidered.
