With a note in FB's hand: "From / Mr. Seward / with a fine / Engraving of / my revered / Dr. Johnson." She has dated the letter 1785; Seward had given only "Thursday" for the date of writing. FB has also added her private editorial symbol in the upper righthand corner, which she used to indicate that a letter or paper should be saved.
