Announcing the arrival of the Comte de Grasse in Chesapeake Bay and giving an account of the French ships and troops with him; describing his directions to the Comte de Grasse about where to station his ships; reporting that Lord [Francis] Rawdon is now a prisoner on board a French ship; discussing strategy for the upcoming Siege of Yorktown; observing, "The only Chance there is for Lord Cornwallis would Be to ford James River and the Dan, and Yet I do not See How He Can do it"; promising to "forward Intelligences" to him.
