Apologizing for a miscommunication about a meeting at the Pulteney Hotel in Albemarle Street; saying that she is going to the country tomorrow, but asking if he (she addresses her correspondent as "Dear Sir") would call on Wednesday at the hotel; adding "I don't wish this contretemps to prevent my making the acquaintance of one so distinguished as yourself"; saying that she received his letter and his card simultaneously.
