Concerning the troop positions at Yorktown; reporting on the position and condition of Cornwallis' troops; saying "They may wish to make a partial encursion on their side of the river (during your imbecility) for the purpose of burning houses, distressing women & collecting cattle. Even this attempt they will decline, as with very little exertion, we can readily frustrate the last object, without interrupting the repose of your army;" reporting on the wounded soldiers and their condition; referring to a plan to capture Cornwallis; asking what has "become of the State troops? they ought to encrease, if their command't adopt measures to collect the absentees."
