Summary
Collection consists primarily of correspondence between American paleographer E. A. Lowe and English librarian and Slavonic scholar J. S. G. Simmons, mainly concerning the preparation of parts 10 and 11 of the Codices Latini Antiquiores and with emphasis on the identification and description of manuscripts in Slavonic libraries. Collection also contains correspondence between Simmons and staff at the Slavonic libraries, including Pavel Spunar, F. Horák, Jaro Dolar, Ivan Ilić, S. Mikucki, and L. Mezey. Also with typescript and manuscript notes on various Slavonic manuscripts, as well as a typescript copy of a speech by Lowe, and an invitation to Lowe's memorial service.
