Summary
Asking him "...to take charge of these Letters and procure for us as good an attendance of Peers in the House of Lords, on the first day of the Session as your exertions will render practicable. It is not generally understood that Personal attendance is particularly necessary or that [illegible] as Proxies can not be entered till the second day of the Session;" discussing his need for a Seconder for the Address and asking him to help enlist the support of Lord Ely and if that fails "...I wish you would try in the same manner any others who are respectable. Notwithstanding all the Reports I can assure you we are going on as smoothly as possible, the only point on which I have any fears is [illegible]. Lord Wellesley is as cordial as could be desired and one who officers have hitherto [illegible] and I have no doubt will continue to do so in the most perfect harmony."
