With a letter concerning the dates of service by Lynch in the First South Carolina Regiment.
With an endorsement which according to a penciled notation beneath it, is in the autograph of Henry Laurens. The endorsement reads "Capt Lynch's Complaint / against Doct'r Baker presented / by Coll. Huger to Council of Safety / 7th Septem 1775."

Summary
Reporting, as Captain of the Day, that "Mr. Baker, Surgeon to the first, did not once yesterday attend the sick at the Hospital, or the sick who remained in Barracks, tho this assistance must have been much wanted, the Rooms at each place being full of Patients."
