Summary
Explaining that her mother had a carriage accident and will not be at Fordhook as planned; adding that her mother was not injured but "had to walk a mile in the snow, & to sit in a dirty ale-house in 'gin-drinking company' till a carriage could be procured from Brighton to take her back there."
