Collection of manuscript drafts and source material related to The trumpet of the swan : autograph and typed drafts, letters, notes and artwork, [1968-1970].

Collection consists of several drafts of The Trumpet of the Swan, as well as excerpts, summaries, letters, preparatory notes, and source materials related to the composition of the novel. Collection also contains a copy of the first edition of the book (1970) inscribed by the author to the Morgan Library, 22 March 1971; several original sketches of swans; and copies of Edward Frascino's illustrations used in the first edition.
