Summary
Acknowledging their need for a Bishop and stating that they should not expect him nor his Assistant Bishop [Bishop Onderdonk] to act in that capacity; explaining the reasons why the Assistant Bishop cannot assume the duties they require in their Diocese; suggesting that Bishop Meade might be of assistance; adding a postscript dated January 4, 1830, in which he discusses his schedule and that of Rev. Onderdonk's with regard to a visit to Baltimore.
