Summary
Thanking him for his letters; relating that he has "been 5 or 6 weeks at this place, but am just now set[t]ing off to join the Army. Charlottesville is now to be our metropolis; the assembly is to meet there;" saying that "our People appear to be firm & Spirited, so that if we are well supported I think we shall [illegible] thro' all our difficulties, weather out the Storm & get into safe port at last."
