Asking for an increase in salary; saying "...four seasons have elapsed since I received an addition to my salary; during which period many characters of considerable consequence have been allotted me, not merely as a substitute, pro tempore, but for my constant performance of : in which, however inferior to my predecessors therein, I have aways had the good fortune to receive the approbation of the audience.
