Sending a copy of a letter from Henry Waddington & Co, also dated July 27, 1809 from New Bridge Street, London, that was sent to the firm with the request that it be sent to Pulteney; informing him that they will be "returning the Bill drawn by Rob't Troup upon the late Lady Bath for £11,000 by the next packet to America - We have intimated the same to Sr. John Johnstone & to his Solicitor Mr. Lawten who appear decidedly of opinion, that in the present of the Business, & to avert the ruinous Consequences that will attend the property in America by this measure the Executors ought to provide payment for the Bill."
