Part of a large collection of letters related to the trial of Warren Hastings; see collection-level record (MA 176-177) for more information.
The letter is undated, however Young was recruited early in 1788 by the wool growers of Suffolk to speak against the Wool Bill before Parliament; the Bill passed on May 15, 1788; Young left for France on July 30, 1788.
The recipient of this letter is not identified but it is most likely it is directed to Sir Peter Burrell.

Saying that he has "no other opportunity of speaking to Mr. Fox on the Subject of the Wool bill but this morning in the Managers box in Westminster Hall. Lord Loughbro' has spoken to Mr. Anstruther for that purpose, but tells me it can only be done with your permission; may I take the liberty of requesting it?"
