Summary
Concerning the placement of his nephew [John] as an apprentice to a physician; inquiring about board and lodging for an apprentice and discussing the merits of placing him with a family or a young unmarried man; recommending his nephew as having "good dispositions, fair talents and a strong desire to improve himself ... but he is shy and awkward in his manners, tho' tall and well looking. He is not a good Scholar, but I cannot think justice has been done him at School."
