See also MA 2581, the second series of "Dear Alicia" letters from John Steinbeck to Alicia Patterson Guggenheim, written in 1966 and 1967.
The "Dear Alicia" Letters were written for and published in "Newsday," Garden City, N.Y. from November 1965 through May 1967; Alicia Patterson Guggenheim was founder and editor until her death in 1963.
The letters are numbered 1-31, however, number 30 is not in the collection (see MA 2519.44).
