Summary
Sending 6 guards with a letter from General Sullivan; reporting "In the Evening I am advanced as far as the Creek and have made the Road thus far I fear it will be some time before I shall have the pleasure of Seeing you but you may Depend I will Drive on as fast as possible I bring on all my waggons and am Determined to make the Road good at all Events;" adding in a postscript "Maxwell and Poor are on their way."
