Summary
Concerning Huts built on his tenant's land near the Barracks at Ashford; expressing his pleasure that they are "considered a nuisance instead of accommodation for the Soldiers as they were represented to me and approved of by the Commanding Officers. The representation you have made together with what has been made by the Magistrates of Ashford will enable me I hope to persuade my Tenant to consent to their Removal, a measure I was not willing to propose to him before, on account of their bringing him very considerable profit."
