Written on the rectos of 102 pages with revisions throughout and minor revisions written on the versos of several pages; Thackeray has numbered the pages by chapter; following page 17 in Chapter I, there are two and a half pages written in an unknown hand and at the bottom of the page there is a penciled note "Autograph of Miss Minnie Thackeray?"; Thackeray made a pencil sketch on the verso of p. 1 of Chapter III.
