Francis Turner Palgrave was an English anthologist and art critic.
Part of a collection of poems and letters from Alfred Tennyson. Items in this collection have been described individually in separate catalog records; see collection-level record for more information.
The letter is undated, however the range ascribed to the writing is from the year in which Palgrave was introduced to Tennyson (1849) to the year in which, it is noted in Tennyson's DNB entry, that Tennyson "dismissed" Palgrave (1868), thus ending their friendship.
