Concerning Powers of Attorney related to dividends from India annuities; saying "We have some recollection of your Lordship being on a Journey, perhaps to the West, at the time we sent you the power - it might the more easily be mislaid - We are confident it has not been sent to us, as we always send such Powers immediately to the offices to be Enter'd;" discussing a possible misunderstanding concerning an order for the withdrawal of £1,000 and assuring him "...we shall not till then sell any India Bonds without your Lordship's further orders."
