Jean Corbinelli was a French writer and friend of Madame de Sévigné.

Philippe Moulceau was the President of the Chambre des Comptes at Montpellier and friend and correspondent of Madame de Sévigné.
The letter is signed by Madame de Sévigné and also in her hand she adds "Grignan".

Summary
Telling him how much she and her daughter enjoyed his letter; saying how sorry she is that the correspondence between him and Corbinelli has ended; expressing their wish that he would visit them; adding that she will share the contents of his letter with Corbinelli and will relate his reply to him in hopes that they might correspond again .
