Replying to his letter "wishing for a statement of my Services;" relating his service in detail from 1779 through his action with the Dutch Fleet on October 11, 1797; adding that he is "still well enough, & ever willing to be employ'd in any Service their Lordships may think proper to order me;" thanking him for his help in finding a new position.
