Summary
Being a letter dictated by Lord Northampton in reply to Professor Knight's letter to Lady Northampton; saying "Lady Northampton begs me answer your letter for her as she is unable to write. We are not living in London at all now owing to her delicate state of health, and therefore cannot be of much assistance to your protégée Miss Higgins, but if we hear of anyone wishing for lessons we will give her name and address. I have ordered 2 copies of your collection of poems, which you have issued for the Queen Alexandra fund. They will be useful Xmas presents. We should both be so glad to meet again;" adding, in a postscript and in his hand, "my wife's kindest regards."
