Summary
Concerning the sale of Cripps' collection of Botany; saying "Having understood that you have made enquiries if the remainder of my Collection of Botany was to be sold I have to inform you I have made up my mind to dispose of the Collection I bought of the celebrated Botanist the disciple & friend of Linnæus Dr. Nozen [Daniel Erik Naezén] of Umea in Sweden which consists chiefly of the scarce plants of Sweden & Lapland, among which I understand there is a fine collection of Lichen & Cryptogamia Class. The sale will be by auction at Mess'rs King & Lochee's, no. 38 Covent Garden, on the 17th Instant;" adding, in a postscript, There is a M.S. Catalogue by Dr. Nozen."
