Summary
Sending a small pamphlet which "...I hope, on perusal you will allow to possess some humour, as well as local merit. I am unknown to any Publisher but my respected friend Mr. Hood...however, as I presume your influence is more diffusive, I think you might introduce it to the Press. Pray do what you can to serve me, and favor me with a line concerning your good or ill success. I have to request the further favor of a Mirror by the bearer if you have one by you;" asking if he has seen his "Ode on Gen'l Abercrombie, published by Mr. Egerton."
