Summary
Arranging for him to send "the boys" to Warren's Hotel, from which he will take them down to Ramsgate on the 27th, where his daughter Marianne and her husband Mr. Jansen are staying; describing his son-in-law's condition: "He, poor fellow, is in a most precarious and perilous state, having relaps'd on the way at Sittingbourne, and been only rescued from death by Dr Satterly's coming from [Tun?] Wells upon a message from my daughter ; which was infinitely kind in him;" adding "How to send these boys upon so long a journey will I fear be troublesome to you, but I know your kindness, and rely upon your care of them, and in whatsoever way you provide for them I will thankfully repay, and I promise myself the happiness of coming to you in person before Winter sets in."
