Saying he will be at his Head Quarters "as quick as possible - and bring with me some Historys for your amusement in that Wilderness which is your destination and mine to be stationed at....be assured that no Gen'l I ever had the Honour to be under I ever had so much pleasure with or ever half so much Esteemed by JD. what is my Esteem, you will probably think worth nothing - though that I can never abraid you with as(?) every mark of Friendship I have rec'd from y'r Honour, all that I can do is to give those who are my Friends a good name."
