Summary
Commenting on "Mr. Pitt's regulating Bill" which "passed by a great majority" [August 1784]; saying "it is probable there will be a farther reduction of the greater part of the Squadron next year;" wishing him a safe voyage back to England and saying that "there is every appearance of Peace on this side India. Pray God it may continue for the benefit of the Company's affairs and national good."
