Summary
Recommending his friend Mr. Buchan to him; saying "My friend Mr. Buchan has written a Book, and like all other persons who write books he wishes to have it published. I know not that you will grapple with a work on Life and death and Immortality for on such themes the work treats, but I know you will willingly give your best advise to the author who like myself is from the humble ranks of life, and ought to find a protector. I have some suspicion that the book is of a most singular description and like all other original things may take prodigiously or not at all;" sending his regards and asking "How goes the novel on?"
