Summary
Concerning his daughter's magazine; saying "My daughter's first attempt at magazining proved to be so costly an amusement that I think it very doubtful whether she will repeat the experiment, so as an honest man I feel bound to return you the proferred contribution which you were so kind as to send me;" making critical comments on his submissions and adding that he is still struggling with his "...tedious attack of gout but am able to get about to a certain extend & hope that ere long we may foregather."
