Summary
Mentioning Greene's plans for Burnet to visit France with the Marquis de Lafayette; noting that he was "too little acquainted" with Greene's "wishes and object to say much"; reporting that Lafayette is leaving for France right away, but Burnet may be able to travel from Virginia to France with the Comte de Rochambeau in January if Greene wishes him to go; saying that he probably won't leave Philadelphia before Dec. 5 because [Martha] Washington is expected to arrive soon; discussing when various supplies should arrive; remarking that "no decided opinions are yet formed of the consequences which are to follow the glorious events of the late campaign."
